Ricky Allson is a musician/artist/songwriter and educator based in New York City, New York. His catchy pop/rock style with R&B influences and meaningful lyrics help tell his story as an artist on a journey of discovery, personal growth, and a self-described “optimistic realism”.
[ The Goal ]
To capture Ricky's unique persona with a memorable, creative logo for use in his personal brand and music career.

The logo aims to capture the unique qualities of Ricky’s personal story and artistry. Modern, geometric shapes and thin lines capture an essence of innovation and smooth style. The logomark, based loosely on the artist’s tattoo, features an image of a butterfly (symbolizing metamorphis, rebirth, or triumph of the spirit and soul) against a set of playing cards (symbolizing luck, fortune, or phases of life).
